Team United Shipping adds Erik Fetter to its line up
United Shipping Hungary, a leading logistics provider, is proud to announce the establishment of a professional men’s cycling team, called Team United Shipping, set to debut in the 2025 season. Building upon the foundation of its existing amateur team, which specializes in various disciplines including road cycling, gravel, and cyclocross, this bold move marks a significant investment in the future of Hungarian cycling.
“We are thrilled to embark on this exciting journey,” said Zoltán Kummer, CEO of United Shipping Hungary, a passionate amateur cyclist himself. “Our commitment to excellence and innovation extends beyond logistics. We believe in the power of sports to inspire and unite, and we see cycling as a perfect embodiment of our values.”
The new professional team will provide a platform for talented Hungarian and International riders to compete at the highest level, nurturing the next generation of cycling stars. With a long-term vision, the team aims to revitalize Hungarian cycling, following in the footsteps of Attila Valter and other national talents.
United Shipping Hungary’s investment in cycling underscores the company’s dedication to community development and its belief in the transformative power of sports. The team will serve as an inspiration for aspiring cyclists across the country, showcasing the rewards of hard work, dedication, and teamwork.
2024 has already proven to be a remarkable, highlighted by the inspiring return of János Pelikán after a two-year hiatus. Overcoming the challenges of a limited preparation period, Pelikán showcased his unwavering determination and resilience at the National Championships, achieving an impressive result that signals a promising future.
We are proud to announce that we are welcoming Erik Fetter and Michal Schuran to our team! Erik, a two-time European Championship 4th place finisher, multiple TT National Champion, is clearly knocking on the door of a podium finish. His experience in races like the Tour de l’Ain and CRO Race will be invaluable to the team. Michal Schuran, winning the Tour of Bulgaria and the GP Gorenjska shows that Michal has what it takes to win races. He’s clearly a rising star, and his aggressive riding style could bring exciting victories for the team. With such a talented roster, you have every reason to be optimistic about the coming season. We’re excited to see what they can accomplish together in 2025!
With Geoffroy Lequatre, former professional rider as International Director, Zsolt Dér Sports Consultant and Dejan Percic as Sports Director, our riders will have the guidance and support they need to perform at their best, as we believe the staff working in the background is crucial to success, too.
The existing amateur team welcomes riders of all ages and abilities, fostering a love for cycling and providing opportunities for growth and development.
I feel that the team has great potential, thanks to the ambitious company behind the project and the friendly yet professional environment. I didn’t hesitate before making my decision.
Team chemistry is the foundation of everything. It’s a fundamental part of ensuring that a project can operate at the highest level. This “work” has already begun; the team had a meeting, and it immediately took place in a great atmosphere.
Erik Fetter – multiple Hungarian Time Trial Champion
Now I got an offer to the team, where I can be a leader at some races, and I want to have this extra motivation to be better. I really enjoyed the first meeting. The atmosphere was kind and relaxed, what I think is really important.
Michal Schuran – Tour of Bulgaria winner
I’m pushing 30, so I’m the oldest rider on the team — wow, it’s crazy to write that down. But I’ve proven to myself and others that I can still get into great shape and perform well in time trials and road races.
Moreover, cycling is not just about training; it’s a lifestyle. It involves taking care of yourself on and off the bike, with proper rest and nutrition. It’s best to understand this at a young age, and I’m here to help, having gone through the same process and made the same mistakes as everyone else.
Our experienced riders all agree on the importance of passing on as much knowledge as possible to the younger generation.
