A three-kilometer time trial closed the 2025 Sibiu Cycling Tour. As in previous years, the peloton completed a course with 16 turns in the city center of Sibiu on the last day.
In Team United Shipping initially we expected an outstanding chrono from our new time trial champion János Pelikán. In the end, Veljko Stojnić finished from our team in the best place: our Serbian rider secured 9th place on Sunday and delivered the best TUS result from the Sibiu Cycling Tour.
The Serbian champion took 28th place in the general classification. Team United Shipping’s next race will be the Austrian Tour, which starts on Wednesday.
Veljko Stojnić’s assessment:
The circuit was pretty challenging. I did a good recon of the second part which was the more technical part of the course. Yes, maybe some parts of the course were too dangerous, but I guess anything for the show… I hoped that I could be even better with the form I am slowly getting into, and the feelings were good before the time trial. Probably I could’ve done better at some corners in the first part.
It’s a really nice feeling to race in the national champ jersey, it gives me more motivation to show the jersey in a race. I got the TUS version for the third stage already, it arrived on Friday. My next goal is to build an even better form because I know I can make good results. Hopefully win some races that are upcoming in next months.

Honestly, this was a dream come true. I have always watched the Tour of Sibiu since I started cycling. Also my closest friends and family members came here to support me so I had to do my best, even if my shape wasn’t the best. It was truly an amazing few days for me.
I’m not that happy with my performance but I tried to do my best. I don’t think I could have done more with such bad legs but I tried to enjoy it as much as I could.
